Startup Event 2026

About the committee

The goal of this startup event is to connect students with various innovative startups in an informal setting. During the event, startups will pitch their business ideas. Afterward, students will dive deeper into a specific startup to brainstorm solutions for real-world challenges they are facing. We will conclude the day with networking drinks and snacks. As a committee member, you will be responsible for scouting the right startups, designing an engaging program, and promoting the event. The committee takes about 3-4 hours a week and consists of five committee members, including a chair.

Experience Dragos Binzari (Chairman start-up 2025)

Serving as Chair of this year’s Start-Up Event was a truly rewarding experience. As a team, we worked really hard on convincing Startups to join us, and we learned about making and maintaining contact with them.

It was a lot of fun seeing the speed-dating rounds buzz with conversation, and watching ideas and questions flow during the networking drinks. It was incredible witnessing months of coordination come to life in those moments. For me, this role was a profound lesson in leadership and trust. I learned the importance of clear vision and delegation, empowering each committee member to bring their strengths to the table, while our success was definitely also built on the solid support from our board.
