Startup Event 2025

About the committee

The goal of the StartUp event is to connect with diverse startups in an informal setting. During the event, around six startups will pitch their ideas about what they do. After the pitches, students can ask questions during a speed-dating session. Once the speed-dating session is over, the day concludes with a cozy BBQ and drinks. As a committee member, you are responsible for finding the right startups, creating an engaging program, and promoting it. The committee takes about 2-3 hours a week and consists of five committee members, including a chair.

Experience Dragos Binzari (Chairman start-up 2025)

Serving as Chair of this year’s Start-Up Event was a truly rewarding experience. As a team, we worked really hard on convincing Startups to join us, and we learned about making and maintaining contact with them.

It was a lot of fun seeing the speed-dating rounds buzz with conversation, and watching ideas and questions flow during the networking drinks. It was incredible witnessing months of coordination come to life in those moments. For me, this role was a profound lesson in leadership and trust. I learned the importance of clear vision and delegation, empowering each committee member to bring their strengths to the table, while our success was definitely also built on the solid support from our board.

A huge thank you to my incredible committee and to our supportive board (especially Yuri).
