The work is centered on the management of multi-asset portfolios, encompassing both liquid and illiquid investment funds. You will provide support to various teams including Equities, Fixed Income, Private Equity, and Absolute Return, among others. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a diverse array of responsibilities within the realm of investment portfolio management, encompassing both listed and unlisted investments. In your capacity as a working student for the Investment & Strategy Research team (ISR), you will assist the investment analysts for a minimum of two days per week. Your work will involve conducting investment-related analyses across a broad spectrum of investment classes and strategies, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of the investment landscape.

Key Responsibilities

As part of ‘business as usual support’ and ad hoc support, the working student will work on specific subjects:

  • Equity and Fixed Income related investment analysis: developing and maintaining (quantitative) tools to gain more insights into the portfolio.

  • Monitoring liquidity and transaction covenants, insuring continuous liquidity availability, recommending forex transactions in direction and size across both liquid and illiquid funds.

  • Data control and analysis of risk exposures, inventorying and analysis of underlying investments of the listed and non-listed investment portfolios.

  • Support in monitoring and assessment of portfolios along Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) attributes and metrics.

  • Min 2 days/week.

Experience and Skills

  • You are nearing the completion of your Bachelor's degree or are currently pursuing your Master's.

  • You possess a collaborative spirit, are proactive, and have a drive for excellence.

  • You demonstrate a keen interest in the financial markets and the field of investment management.

  • You have a strong inclination towards data analytics, including the design and implementation of analytical tools.

  • Proficiency in VBA, PowerBI, and/or Python will be considered a valuable asset.

  • English is required, and Dutch is a plus.
