From the moment that your son or daughter starts studying, as a parent / caretaker you have little insight into the study environment of your child. For this reason we organise a Parents Day!. This academic year, it will take place on January 18th 2019. The Parents Day aims to give you a better picture of what studying Economettrics or Actuarial Science at the University of Amsterdam is like.
A varied program has been put together for you, in which information about the Econometrics study is central. During the Parents Day, you will get acquainted with the content, structure and learning objectives of the study. Noud van Giersbergen, will give a lecture. Maurice Koster, the director fo the first year program and the lecturer of Mathematics 1: Calculus, will tell you more about the study perspectives after the first year. Finally, we will inform you about the VSAE and what this study association has to offer tot the student.
Always wanted to show your parents were you study? We offer you the opportunity, without the embarrassment! Bring your parents to Parents Day for them to see what it is that you do all day. Afterwards, we will have a drink at the Roeter.
